The Australian Consulate General was pleased to present the documentary film “Zach’s Ceremony” in the context of NAIDOC Week 2017.
Alec Doomadgee, Concept Creator and Associate Producer of ‘Zach’s Ceremony’, joined the Australian Consulate General to present and discuss the film with audiences in Pouembout (5 July), Nouméa (6 July), Tadine, Maré (7 July) and Wé, Lifou (12 July).
The film screened in partnership with the Pouembout Agricultural High School, the Tjibaou Cultural Centre, the Loyalty Islands Province and the Médiathèque de Lohnä in Lifou.
NAIDOC Week stands for “National and Aboriginal Islander Day Observance Committee’. It celebrates and raises awareness of the different cultures, histories and accomplishments of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
